Wind Walkers

Wind walkers is a exhibition which is to show the work by Jansen, and Jansen who Standbeest or "beach animal" it is a new form of life, a art science, engineering and performance.

The background of this art science, it is spirit from Leonardo da Vinci, so Jansen follow the idea started to do the design from early 1990, It can be seen from this exhibition that scientists have lasted for twenty-eight years from the idea itself to the generation. Below is the picture of the "Anatomy of a Strandbeast"the material of the Standbeast, is about PVC tube, cable ties, recycled plastic bottles, and sails.

These Strandbeasts have advanced from rudimentary structures to complex creatures that are able to respond autonomously to environment conditions.

this is called Animal Siamesis, this work is during 2009 to 2011 this period, there is a serious called suicideem, what is different with Standbeast just there are more legs. From the exhibition, it was seen that the scientist changed from an artist to a scientist, and then lasted 28 years, kept developing, and worked with American NASA.
