This exhibition is about the history of advertising in Singapore. The collection of the National Museum from 1830 to 1960 reveals hope, dreams and strong desires.
This exhibition is mainly displayed in the advertising of that era, in ordinary time, but also according to different fields from food, medicine, home, automobile, tourism, entertainment, and fashion to present the advertising at that time.
Singapore is a country of great national integration. In the early period, Singapore was a country of great national integration after its independence because of the rule of Britain. There were India, China, Malaysia and Britain. So in the exhibition, we can see that the culture of each country was posted from the beginning. The plan is separate, and more and more is cultural integration.
The whole exhibition uses yellow colors throughout the exhibition, why use yellow colors, because yellow represents hope, but also echoes the theme of the exhibition.

In 1930, poster ads had only a single image that slowly combined text with pictures by 1950, and it was also observed that poster ads began to highlight products in different fonts.

In the 1930s, people in Singapore made different changes in their lives, made different designs in their advertisements to attract customers, and at the same time, learned that the cultures of each nation displayed different ways in posters, such as those of Chinese immigrants to Singapore. Southerners, in advertising design, are mainly personas.
In 1950, Malaysia mostly used pictures, or headlines with pictures, to show the different ways in which each country presented its ads.

After 1950, we can see the gradual integration of different ethnic advertising, the development of various industries in Singapore, and changes. This is a very good exhibition, from the mid-1910s to the poster advertising only text, to the 1960s color poster with the picture and text, it is a very big show. The transformation, as well as the different fonts that we like to use in different ages, is a good inspiration.
